Sustainable Sanitation Exchange

The Sustainable Sanitation Exchange (SuSanEx) programme was initiated in 2008 by seecon within the frame of the UN International Year of Sanitation. SuSanEx is a virtual exchange programme that brings together school classes from the North and the South to discuss issues of sanitation and water management over the internet. It aims at increasing awareness of the importance of sustainable water supply and safely managed sanitation solutions among students – agents of change and decision makers of tomorrow.

Ten virtual exchanges programmes have been carried out successfully since the beginning of SuSanEx, involving around 500 students from Switzerland, India, Zambia and South Africa.
