Is access to water a human right?

Conference on 25th March at 18:0 (CET) at the University of Zürich

In 2010, the United Nations General Assembly explicitly recognized the human right to water. However, even today, around two billion people do not have access to safe drinking water. In this conference, Dr. Henriette Stierlin from the University of Zurich and Prof. Federico Vargas from the National University of Asuncion will analyze the situations of the indigenous communities Uru-Mato in Bolivia and Nivaclé in the Paraguayan Chaco. Dr. Élida Villalba Vargas will moderate the conference.

The Swiss Toilet Organisation has joined forces with the University of Zürich, the Latin American Center Zürich and Incomindios to bring this conference to the public.

The conference will be given in Spanish; translation into German will be available.

Save the day! Details to the exact location and link to participate online will be available soon.
