Ecuador consciente se fortalece

An earthquake of magnitude 7.8 shook the coastal region of Ecuador causing great destruction in some of the poorest and more remote areas of the country. The Swiss Toilet Organisation joined hands with SR3 Invent of Ecuador to bring a safe drinking water and sanitation campaign to isolated communities in the affected area. 

The campaign "Ecuador conscience se fortalece" contained messages that helped to treat drinking water at home and to prevent the spread of diseases due to open defecation. The campaign consisted of posters that were displayed at visible places in the affected communities and colouring paper notebooks that were delivered to families with young children.
